Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD)

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is an eye disease that can blur your central vision. It happens when aging causes damage to the macula — the part of the eye that controls sharp, straight-ahead vision. The macula is part of the retina (the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye).*

Like glaucoma, AMD progresses over several years, and requires treatment as well as lifestyle changes in order to manage and slow the progression of the disease. The Eyethena digital therapeutic technology will be customized to address the specific aspects of the disease and patient management and treatment.

Diabetic Retinopathy

Diabetic retinopathy is an eye condition that can cause vision loss and blindness in people who have diabetes. It affects blood vessels in the retina (the light-sensitive layer of tissue in the back of your eye).

Diabetic Retinopathy is also a condition that may not display symptoms at first, but if left undiagnosed and untreated will cause serious symptoms and vision problems as it progresses. Like glaucoma, early detection and ongoing management and treatment are critical to preventing severe vision loss, and the Eyethena digital therapeutic technology is ideally suited to meeting the needs of both practitioners and their patients.
